| | That’s a compliment in the Goat’s book. Gearhead Alli here. March is Women’s History Month, so this newsletter is for girls that get after it (and everyone who recreates with them)! Put on your party hat—we’re celebrating female-identifying crushers tackling the biggest OBJs, girls progressing their sports left and right, and for-women by-women brands that make getting out there that much more inclusive. We all belong in the backcountry, so join us in toasting all the badass chicks in our Herd and beyond. We’re here! |

We’ve got Goats all over doing amazing things, but our Maddie Mastro and Kalen Thorien are always taking things to the next level. |
|
Maddie is a pro boarder who makes things like double cripplers look easy. A two-time Olympian and X Games bronze medalist, Maddie’s already amassed a stunning trophy case—and she’s just getting started. “Seeing more females grow and push snowboarding to another level has been so amazing to watch. The progression of women’s snowboarding has inspired me to challenge myself and has helped pushed my own skills.” - Maddie |

Kalen is an explorer and adventurer who rides the open road to the beat of her own drum. When she’s not kicking up dust on a dirt road from the back of her Harley, she’s on her skis finding freshies in the backcountry.
“Being a woman in the outdoors is the ultimate freedom, not only from society but from ourselves. I'm so excited to see the next generation of women and girls in the outdoors.” - Kalen |

You know your foundation is solid when it’s backed by three Olympic medals. Kari Traa took the bumpy road literally when she grabbed gold in the 2002 mogul event. Since then, she’s been racking up other wins like founding Europe’s fastest-growing women’s sports brand.
Here are a few more women-owned brands we’re loving. |

When there's snow, Gearhead Cat is getting after it on her board or finding secret stashes splitboarding in the spring. When snow’s tough to find, Cat’s hiking, backpacking, running, camping—you name it. |

We typically see our Goats scaling mountains and skiing chutes, but McKenzie Browne wanted to show the world how fast she was on ice. McKenzie and her team just won the ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Poland, sweeping Canada, China, and Japan’s teams. We’re so stoked for and proud of McKenzie and can’t wait to see her speed away with more wins! |
