Replacing Pivot’s Mach 5.5 in the mid-travel lineup is the Shadowcat: A 27.5in, all-mountain prowler, that effortlessly flits between XC speed and trail agility. It’s nearly as light as the short-travel Mach 4SL, and designed with progressive geo to tackle aggressive downhill tracks, making the Shadowcat one MTB we’re eager to pounce on.

Frame & Wheel Size

Pivot offers the Shadowcat in XS-L frame sizes, all engineered to deliver every rider the best experience the 27.5in setup has to offer. No XL size is available as Pivot says Shadowcat’s 27.5in design is not optimal for taller riders.

Travel & Suspension

160mm travel in front and 140mm out back on Pivot dw-link suspension help the Shadowcat absorb big hits on rough trails, yet spring to life on fast XC-style singletrack. The vertical shock mount not only cleans up the lines from the Mach 5.5, but integrates more easily with FOX’s Live Valve.
