Despite its incredible soundstage and jaw dropping presentation, the HD800S had two minor criticisms: a slight lack of low end response and too much treble. Working alongside the audio engineering team at Sennheiser, we've tuned the HD8XX to provide a more balanced midrange with more bass. We've also managed to bring the MSRP of the headphones down from $1599 to just $1100.
