NOTE: DO NOT SEND this email until Edward gives his final approval. As you can imagine, he’s concerned about damaging his reputation by sharing his discovery. I loaded this email into our system as I’m really hoping he gives us the approval to send it. As we discussed, I think people need to hear his story and see the astonishing video he captured. But, please see me before hitting send - Alexa. Hey friend, I thought long and hard about sending this email. In fact, as I type this sentence, I’m still not sure if I'm going to send it or follow through with my plan to notify the media. At the outset, it’s important to me that you know I’m a born skeptic. I rarely fall for urban myths. Twenty years ago, when I first heard the “they stole my kidneys and left me in a bathtub full of ice” story, I immediately called B.S. And, while I’ve experienced some strange things in my mysterious childhood home, I still don’t believe in ghosts. Mostly, I am a pragmatic realist. Balloons tend to be balloons…not alien craft. On the whole, I have very little patience for myths, legends, and conspiracy theories. I’m saying all this because I don’t want you to think I’ve lost my mind. The fact is that I saw something while riding mountain bikes in the hills of Kentucky that has changed my life. The experience is seared forever into my mind. I’m still emotional about it. In fact, as I typed that last sentence, the hair on my arms stood up and a chill raced down my spine. If you get this email, then I’ve decided to send the video I captured (link below) to the national media. As part of ROAD iD’s extended family, I wanted you to see it first. Selfishly, I’m hopeful that you’ll be supportive of me as this video will likely become national news very quickly. As someone that knows ROAD iD, and knows the trustworthy nature of our company, I’m hopeful that you’ll lend your voice in support of me and our company. As compelling as the video is, I suspect that people will try to discredit me and the video. They’re going to call the video a fake. They’re going to call me a liar. But, I saw what I saw…and my GoPro camera captured it all. Everyone’s first question has been “How big do you think it was?” Well, I have a friend that is 6’ 9”…so I know what tall looks like. This thing was at least 8 to 9 feet tall. “Could it be a person in a suit?” Nobody I know moves with that level of speed and agility. The most convincing thing to me is the expression on its face right before it disappears into the Sycamore trees. That look…it’s unforgettable. See for yourself… Ride003_Trail.mp4 After you watch the video, please reply to let me know your thoughts. Hoping I can count on your support, Edward Wimmer Co-Founder, ROAD iD
