Youngstown native and lifelong cook Spencer Saylor loved the Italian food in his adopted home of Columbus, but something was missing - Sicilian-style pies. In early 2020, Saylor began serving up Instagram-ready pizza to his friends and family. The result? A viral sensation, a months-long waitlist, and a brick-and-mortar store in Clintonville.

The flavors and flare of Sicilian-style pizza are the heart of Saylor’s process. Poring over research and recipe books, Saylor landed on the perfect pie, which blends traditional focaccia crust with a more Italian-American approach to toppings, including plenty of cheese.

Though there’s still a waitlist for orders, the Wizard’s commercial kitchen in Columbus is cranking out hot ‘za every day now, and expects to open for regular business next week.
