You might be wondering how moisture meters work and how they can change your plant care routine. It's really quite simple! Most plants like to dry out between waterings, but it's not always easy to tell if the soil is fully dry, especially on larger plants.

A moisture meter reads the level of moisture in the soil at the bottom of the pot, often where the roots are drinking from most. Instead of blindly guessing when it's time to water, a functioning moisture meter will tell you exactly when your plant is ready for more.
