Brown Tips 101 Pesky brown tips have you stressed? This issue is all too common in many different plant varieties, including but not limited to Dragon Trees, Kentia Palms, Cast Irons and Snake Plants. That said, in most cases brown tips are not a sign of any major ailment and most likely can be eradicated with just minor adjustments to your care routine. Some of the most common causes of brown tips in plants (and some solutions): -
Too many minerals in the water - Fill up your watering can and let it sit for 24 hours before watering your plant. -
Lack of humidity in the environment - Make sure your plant isn't placed too closely to a heater or AC unit. Mist often, or invest in a humidifier, if you suspect the air is too dry. -
Lack of nutrients in the soil - Follow a consistent fertilizing routine to ensure your plant is getting the nutrients it needs. Additionally, if you haven't repotted in a few years, it may be time. |
