HHF is helmed by Beata Jezek, a Slovakian native who relocated to Cork, Ireland, where she learned to knit and eventually began dying her own yarn because, as she puts it, she sought colors and high quality yarns that simply weren't available to her at the time. (Fun fact: Jezek means "hedgehog" in Slovakian!)

Winter Lights by Stephen West is a generously sized, semi-circular shawl featuring an interplay of 4 different HHF Sock colors to create slip stich dots, honeycomb bubbles and a wavy lace border. This shawl is simpler than it looks because only one color is worked at a time!

At left, the Aeque Cowl by Hillary Smith Callis is a wonderful 1 skein project (and perfect if you're new to HHF and eager to give it a test drive!) This cozy cowl begins with one stitch and grows to mimic the look of an asymmetrical triangular shawl wrapped around the neck.

LE POUF CARDIGAN The Le Pouf cardigan (at right) was designed by HHF's own Beata Jezek so knitters could play with their favorite shades of HHF Sock to creatively knit up their own, signature color melted cardi. Composed of simple, top-down stockinette stitching, this free cardi pattern ismeant to be worn casually open and is inclusively sized for XS-5XL. (Prefer a pullover? Check out the Le Pouf sweater!)

Terra Shawl by Joji Locatelli is a crescent-shaped beauty with an undulating pattern repeat that knits up quickly using just 2 skeins of Merino DK.

The Soldotna sweater (at left) by Caitlin Hunter is a top-down, circular yoke sweater with stranded colorwork detailing that's simple enough for an adventurous beginner. It's a cropped design but can easily be lengthened if crops aren’t your style (instructions are included in the pattern and will impact required yardage).
