On The Porch (shown above) is a huge customer favorite because its simple combination of knits and purls is relaxed, easy knitting at its finest! This blanket frames crisp, horizontal detailing with a deep and cozy garter stitch border, delivering loads of squishy soft texture. And the pattern spans 6 sizes!

To knit On The Porch, you'll need:

4-12 skeins of Blue Sky Cotton, depending on your chosen blanket size.
US 9 32" circular needles (use 40" circular needles if knitting a larger blanket)

Still, it gets its hand-dyed look via a sophisticated inking process with "low impact dyes" that Blue Sky says won't irritate sensitive skin. Each skein is inked to have a uniquely hand-dyed look, and resulting fabrics knit up with a consistently uniform, hand-dyed appeal that doesn't require matching skeins or dye lots!
