New! Westport Blanket in Nimbus!

The best warm-weather knitting combines a soft, breathable yarn with an easy knitting project! So today, we're bringing you a new yarn we think you will love: Juniper Moon Nimbus + the Westport Blanket!

We're so excited to welcome Nimbus to Loop! This cloud-soft, chunky weight yarn makes for enjoyable quick knitting; that's why it works especially well with this cozy blanket from one of our favorite designers, Fifty Four Ten Studio! 

Nimbus is a soft-serve treat of cool, creamy cotton spun with a touch of nylon in a chainette format to ensure your knits have movement and drape without sacrificing structure and durability.  

Knitting with Nimbus feels similar to knitting with soft, buttery wool, making it an excellent alternative for those who might be sensitive to wool. And because it's chunky weight, it's a lovely option for lofty blankets and flowy, three-season sweaters and stylish accessories too!

The Westport Blanket is such an enjoyable knit! It's predominantly garter stitch with pops of stockinette that create a squishy, plaid-like texture - if you can confidently knit and purl, you can definitely knit this blanket!

To help make the knitting even easier, we recommend using stitch markers to indicate where you'll switch from stockinette to garter stitch.

The Westport Blanket pattern includes 6 sizes, from baby to XXL! 

Please note, while the pattern calls for US 13 needles, we used US 10 needles and followed instructions for the size small.

To knit a Westport Blanket like ours, you'll need:

• 3 skeins of Nimbus (more for larger sizes)
• US 10 32" circular needles
• Stitch markers
• Westport Blanket pattern
