Andrea Mowry has a fabulous knack for creating timelessly wearable designs that are always fun to knit in all types of yarn - and her new DRK Everyday Cowl is no exception!

Bonnie just finished knitting this one for the shop using Spun Right Round Squish DK, and we are obsessed! Not only is this cowl cozy and comfortable, but it's also a beautiful blank canvas for Spun Right Round's incredible speckles!

The DRK Everyday Cowl is our new favorite "potato chip knit" - we can't knit just one, and it's vying for a top position on our go-to gift knitting list! It's a safe bet that many friends and family members of the Loop staff will be sporting these at the end of the year!

This cowl is so comfy and an excellent match for super soft yarn Squish DK! While we love shawls, the beauty of this easy-wearing design is that it gives you the look of a triangle shawl but stays put around your neck without any risk of slipping off or sliding around.

It's impossible to say enough great things about Spun Right Round Squish DK! It's an impossibly soft, round, smooth yarn with excellent stitch definition!

And the colors, oh, the colors! Squish DK's speckle-tastic hand-dyed hues knit up into boldly colorful statement hats, scarves, and shawls. The colorways are also lovely for coordinating into playful fades and stripes for signature sweaters and blankets!

And because it's a 100% superwash merino yarn, Squish DK is a fun choice for easy-care baby and child knits, especially if you're a fan of cheerful, non-traditional colors.

We've found that Squish DK is a versatile gauge yarn. Despite its DK name, this knits up as a worsted at 4.5 to 5 sts per inch. You could certainly also knit down tighter if you like for a firmer fabric.

This cowl is such a fun knit. Squishy garter and slipped stitches are all pulled together with a tidy i-cord edge for a satisfyingly clean finish.

It's worked flat on the bias, and a series of increases and decreases create a triangular shape that seams together to create a snuggly, not-too-bulky neck that can easily be tucked into the collar of a jacket.

We used 2 skeins of Squish DK in the Glitter Bomb colorway to knit our sample. You could also opt for 2 different colorways to create your own custom fade!
