LOW KEY VEST IN RIOS

Layering season is upon us, and our new Low Key Vest designed by Elizabeth Smith is looking quite cute for fall!

Knit in sumptuous Malabrigo Rios; this vest is equal parts lovely and practical, with lots of details to make it a go-to autumn wardrobe staple!

Rios is one of those stunning yarns that always earns oohs and ahhs!

Soft and substantial, this 4-ply worsted weight yarn from Malabrigo is a buttery soft 100% Merino that's also washable, making it a colorful choice for one-of-a-kind garments, durable accessories, and keepsake blankets for adults, kids, and babies!

Rios is kettle-dyed in a vivid rainbow of semi-solid tonals and watercolor-like variegated colorways. You'll have a hard time picking your favorite shade!

Loop staffer Bridget knit the Low Key Vest seamlessly from the bottom up in the round with a high/low split hem.

While this vest is predominantly knit in stockinette stitch, it's punctuated with horizontal purl ridge rows that provide just the right amount of texture to give the stockinette plenty of visual interest.

We're pretty partial to vests, especially this time of year! They do a great job keeping your core warm without adding bulk to the arms of jackets and coats.

Low Key is excellent for layering over button-down blouses and long-sleeve tees, and its simple detailing works for both weekday and weekend wear!

Low Key's pattern is written for 9 size-inclusive measurements. It also comes with a few customizable options. Choose from 2 different lengths (cropped or tunic) and two neck styles (crew or cowl). Mix and match your options to create your ideal vest!

For our Low Key Vest sample, we opted to knit the cropped version with a cowl neck. Above is an example of the tunic length with a cowl neck.
