Hubbardton Forge is Accounting for Taste

Interior Design's Best of Year Winner for 2019 is Hubbardton Forge's innovative Abacus Floor-to-Ceiling Plug-In LED Lamp. Like its name says, the cables attach to both the floor and ceiling, but the movable blown glass globes are positionable like the fixture's namesake. This design is more than a lighting fixture—it's a sculptural installation that functions as a room divider and can be plugged in anywhere you like.

In Production Since 1950

We'd never recommend pulling apart this wishbone. This famous design remains firmly on our wish lists year after year. Carl Hansen's expert craftspeople bring designer Hans J. Wegner's masterpiece to life in over 100 steps in their Denmark factory, proving decade after decade that the era of handcrafted design is far from over.
