The Design Issue

You may have noticed our new tagline: Enlightened by Design. Yes, it's an acknowledgment of our lighting heritage, but it also speaks to our philosophical approach—we are constantly learning and expanding our ideas on design.

And it's what has inspired the following pages, where we're highlighting icons of design, unveiling the latest pieces from up-and-coming designers and championing design movements from their origins up to today. From biophilic designs inspired by nature to the evolution of the task lamp, we're covering design in all of its facets—form, function and where the two meet—here in The Design Issue.
