Believe it or not, it’s Friday again (for those of you who subscribe to the concept of linear time). And even if you don’t, you can still enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of a Summer Friday—an experience of pure joyful anticipation. Here are some suggestions for today.

• See if you can look at this dress without texting your group chat to see if anyone’s free for a spontaneous picnic. 
• Hear birds chirping—a sound that’s available to you even if you don’t live near nature.
• Touch the softest pet you know. 
• Smell some zesty and luminous olive oil. Maybe even make some olive bread for dipping.
• Taste a bright and flavorful dessert, which would make a great addition to that picnic you just organized.
