Hi there
Here is a checklist for beginners of SUP.
However, even if you have progressed quite some depth into SUP, there are many things on this list that you might just have missed at some point!
Can you imagine how many inexperienced paddlers frequently handle their paddles wrongly? As I scroll through my Facebook feed, I see numerous people make mistakes like the ones in this article.
πFor instance, hold the paddle with the blade pointed away from you rather than towards you to ensure you get it right. Also, one of your hands should be on the paddle grip and the other on the shaft.
ποΈοΈοΈFor another, It is recommended to keep your head up while paddling. Your body follows your gaze and looking down while paddling would not be the best idea for stability. οΈ
οΈοΈπThirdly, every paddler should learn how to fall off their board and get back on as well. One must get closer to the board and towards the center to complete this successfully. With one hand, grasp the middle handle and try to reach the other side of the board with your free hand while puling the center grab handle.
Heard of these tips before and found them helpful? There are more just like these in the articles!
