| | | Seems like it’s a day for new products, as this afternoon Fujifilm have launched the X-T5 and XF 30mm f/2.8 R LM WR Macro lens.
The X-T5 offers a whole range of improvements over its predecessor offering 40 megapixels, up to 20fps, a 3-way tilt screen and 6.2K/30p video. All this in a body that’s 50g lighter than the X-T4, and still keeps the classic X-Series design.

This lightweight APS-C format camera houses Fujifilm’s 40.2 megapixel X-Trans 5 HR BSI sensor seen in the X-H2, which is paired with the high-speed, low power X-Processor 5. Together these provide content creators with fast bursts and high resolution stills, which includes 160 megapixel high res shot mode. With an equivalent 35mm focal length of 46mm, the new XF 30mm brings a new perspective to standard focal length lenses. Unlike most lenses of its class, the optic’s minimum focusing distance is just 10cm from the sensor, for a 1:1 macro magnification ratio.
In addition to traditional uses, you can also use this lens for tabletop photography, close-up commercial detail, microscopic wildlife, and more! |
