A funny thing happened last week: I cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner — 2 weeks before the actual holiday. My mom was visiting from out of state, so we decided to cook, feast, and celebrate early. Without the pressure of the “big day”, it somehow seemed significantly easier than usual, but just as traditional and delicious. The great thing about traditions is being able to cherish old ones while welcoming the new. A few years ago in the middle of a move, we traded turkey for Chinese food and went bowling. And last year I spatchcocked a whole bird to grill over a campfire in Joshua Tree — complete with all the fixings. (Psst… don’t tell anyone… but I’m actually looking forward to Thanksgiving Day without turkey this year and inventing a brand new tradition!) Wherever — or whenever — you are celebrating Thanksgiving this year, I hope it’s filled with all your favorite dishes and all your favorite people. I hope laughter and love radiates from your table. And lastly, I hope you know just how thankful I am for Rad Families like yours, who bring Raddish into their homes and hearts, making meals and memories together all year round. Wishing you a delicious season of thanks and giving! |
