Seriously though, shipping marine life is more than just a Styrofoam box inside a cardboard box. Shipping quality marine life right is a serious process that we have refined over the past 21 years we have been offering marine life online.

For starters, all of our marine life (fish, coral, plants and invertebrates) is shipped via overnight delivery service. All reputable companies deliver only by overnight delivery service. If you ever see an online retailer offering ‘second day service’ as an option for snails, inverts, or anything…run.

We look at each order individually for any instructions that you may have provided during the purchase. We will pass this information to the collecting staff so they can choose your marine life appropriately for your needs.

The day your order is scheduled to be shipped, we will look at your specific zip code and make sure that there are no weather related issues that may effect your order along it’s route. At this time we will add the appropriate heat packs or cool packs for your specific conditions. We do this for every single order, every day, every time.

We will start to collect your marine life once it has been released by the husbandry manager. The collecting staff will carefully examine your marine life to make sure they are vibrant and healthy.

The collected fish will now be bagged with the perfect combination of water and oxygen. Not all marine life are the same…and we have perfected this process over the years. Some have more water; some have no water at all! At this stage, the marine life is inspected again for quality prior to packing.
Your marine life bags will be inserted in a special insulating Nano Technology bag to regulate the temperature, cool packs or heat packs will be added if needed, and then it all goes into a thermally regulating Styrofoam box.
