In the shop I've now overheard several customers beginning to gear up for their K'gari Island (Fraser) trips. August & September is a popular time for those who like shore fishing with Tailor & Bream being in season.
September is also a great time to camp on the island, when it's still a bit cooler and there aren't many insects out and about yet.
For those of us with kids in school, the September school holidays aren't too far away, so now is an excellent time to be locking in those camping plans with the kids & grandkids.
