While the recent cold snap in some parts of the US may have you thinking otherwise, spring has arrived and the warmer temperatures are coming around. We just need to get passed these last few days of lousy Smarch weather, and then it’s time for more of us to come out of hibernation and start shedding that winter weight. But just because there’s plenty of work to do in regards to burning calories doesn't mean you have to work your dollars just as hard or burn excess cash on a wearable. There are lots of great smartwatches and fitness bands worthy of being your exercise and activity assistants, and many of them see frequent discounts at Amazon, Walmart, and other retailers. We recently rounded up our top picks in our buying guides for the best fitness trackers and Fitbits, but for today's newsletter, we've also gathered a few of the best wearable deals you can currently take advantage of. |

Good smartwatches and activity trackers usually cost a couple hundred dollars or so, but our first deal really bucks this trend. The Amazfit Bip S is definitely not going to win any beauty pageants or design awards, but it can track your workouts and sleep metrics, constantly monitor your heart rate, and do it all while lasting two weeks on a single charge. We recently picked the Blip S as the best budget option in our roundup of the best fitness trackers, and it's now available for an even better price. Normally $69.99, the popular fitness tracker is available at Amazon right now for just $49. That $20 discount drops it nearly to impulse-buy territory, which is especially great if you want to try a fitness tracker for the first time or you're looking to get additional models for family members. It's compatible with both iOS and Android, too, so it works for just about anyone. There are more attractive options out there with more premium build qualities, but the Bip S is an impressive value. |

The Fitbit Versa 3 is currently available for $175 at Amazon and Walmart. That's about $55 off, and within a few bucks of its lowest price to date. The Versa 3 is is The Verge's pick for the best overall fitness tracker, as it's one of the most versatile and user-friendly wearables around. It threads the needle between smartwatch and fitness tracker, mixing things like SpO2 monitoring with notifications and the ability to take calls on your wrist. It may look a bit like an Apple Watch, but it works with either iOS or Android. The Versa 3 comes with built-in GPS and, unlike an Apple Watch, the battery can last about a week. Couple that excellent battery life with continuous heart rate monitoring, fitness tracking, and the option to connect to either Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, and you've got a compelling case for a great wearable that fits into most people's lives. |

We hear the terms military-spec or military-grade thrown around all the time. It's what a lot of brands spout when trying to make a lifestyle product sound tough and cool. The Garmin Instinct Tactical fitness tracker has some pedigree to prove it, however. First off, it meets military standard 810G for thermal, shock, and water resistance, which means it's designed to take a ton of punishment in stride. It also has some features that are specifically catered toward military personnel — like a night mode for use with actual night vision goggles. This is the kind of smartwatch for someone who values the expansive GPS tracking, which should cover even the most remote areas, and appreciates an aesthetic that's reminiscent of tough-as-nails G-Shock watches. Garmin's Instinct Tactical is currently available at Amazon and Adorama for $199.99 — a $100 off its regular price of $299.99. This is a whole lot of functionality and toughness for anyone running or hiking through extreme terrain, but it also has preloaded workouts and tracking programs for swimming, biking, and even skydiving / airborne jumps. |

Ok, I know an Apple Watch may seem a little humdrum after those unique and varied smartwatches and fitness trackers. But if you're an iPhone user (I think there's a few of you) there just isn't another smartwatch that's as capable or as deeply integrated in iOS as Apple's well-known wearable. The Series 7 is Apple's latest interpretation of its familiar-looking smartwatch formula, though, it now comes with a slightly larger screen, IP6X dust resistance, and faster charging. Like previous models, it also offers heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and a robust ecosystem of third-party apps, rendering the Apple Watch Series 7 pretty compelling. Right now, both sizes of the GPS-equipped Series 7 are $50 off at multiple retailers. The smaller, 41mm watch is available for $349 at Amazon and Walmart, and if you've got bigger wrists or just prefer maximum screen real estate, the 45mm version going for $379 at Walmart in select colorways.
