With Every Fiber In celebration of Earth Day, we’re giving you a closer look at the origins of our signature fabrics, while celebrating the beautiful, natural fibers at the heart of it all.

Good Wool The Beaufront Farm in Tasmania, Australia Seventh generation farmer Julian von Bibra and his wife Annabel tend to over 25,000 merino sheep with a great sense of devotion. The couple also safeguards the native grasses and waterways on their sprawling farm.

“We’re regenerating the biodiversity of this area in part by working with other farmers to link rivers, fence them off, and plant native florae.” ~ Annabel

Good Cotton The Boswell Farm in California’s San Joaquin Valley This sprawling farm practices precision agriculture down to the square foot to ensure the long term health of the land and crops. We spoke with Brad Reinhart, Boswell’s director of sales.

“People who come to visit always ask, ‘If the market price for a certain crop is high, do you plant more of that crop and less of the others?’ The answer is absolutely not. Every single field has a five-year plan based on the long-term health of the soil.” ~ Brad

Good Linen Northern France Sowing and harvesting flax is just the beginning of linen production. Scutchers—like third generation scutcher Edouard Decock, play an important role in the process by separating the elements of this multifaceted plant.

“Flax is a magical, a zero-waste gift from nature. The fiber is used in the textile industry, while the seeds are used for re-sowing flax and producing oil. The woody shive is used to create agglomerated wood panels, and the flax dust is fertile soil used by farmers.” ~ Edouard
