With an insider understanding of the Beauty Industry, Diarrha N’Diaye-Mbaye saw vast pitfalls in the complexion offerings for melanin-rich skin: they were almost always full coverage, didn’t match undertones, were expensive, and/or contained ingredients that could pose harm to the wearer. With a mission to offer better color products to a spectrum of melanin-rich skin tones, she founded Ami Colé (pronounced Ah-me Co-lay) and immediately got on our radar.
