Episode 11 is here | | It's a blustery April afternoon in Margate. We're heading to the sea with Freya Bromley, a writer who swam every tidal pool in the UK after suffering the loss of her brother. She chats community, wild swimming and the peace it brings her. | |
| | | | | | | | | Can you talk us through your journey with wild swimming? | |
| In 2021 I went on an adventure to swim in every tidal pool in |
| mainland Britain, in one year, with my best friend Miri. It was hugely restorative for both of us. | |
| | | | | | What would you say to someone thinking of starting wild swimming? | |
| It's totally normal to feel nervous. Swimming in cold water can be intimidating and one of the reasons I love it so much is that feeling of courage I have after. And I’ve never felt more welcomed by a community. Wild swimmers really come together, support each other, and really care for the places they live. | |
