Named after the Icelandic word for glacier, Jökla parka can withstand extreme cold and rough conditions.

Jökla has a detachable 800-fill down hood trim that provides further utility. The exterior of Jökla is made from a ruggedized Cordura nylon that was selected for its extreme durability and abrasion resistance. A water-repellent coating taped seams, and coated chest zippers make Jökla waterproof. Finally, over a pound of premium 800-fill white goose down keeps out the cold.

Our down comes from a long-time German supplier, who has been certified in accordance with the Responsible Down Standard (RDS), and the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®.

With more than a decade's experience of documenting the cold regions of the North, French photographer and filmmaker Alex Strohl explores the natural world with a sense of excitement, daring, and joy. He first visited Iceland in 2011 and has been a yearly guest here since. Last winter he visited the Westfjords during the darkest and coldest time of the year where he explored the blue hour.
