Four seasons of playing the indecisive and tenderhearted Chidi on The Good Place made William Jackson Harper into an unsuspecting object of lust. It’s a status that’s about to be further solidified now that he’s stepping into the leading role in Love Life, HBO Max’s rom-com anthology series, but one the actor isn’t quite comfortable with yet. “I just never thought that I would be the guy that is hooking up with someone on camera,” Jackson says. “I thought I would be that dude's best friend, or some other weirdo, in a very, very messy apartment wearing a bathrobe all the time.
