Light Check

Have you noticed the longer afternoons and warm evening glow? More hours of sunlight and warming temperatures, it’s the season when plants live their best lives. Now’s a good time to check on where your plants are placed and assess if they’re getting too much, or not enough light. Here are a some quick rules of thumb using hours of light.

6+ hours of bright indirect light per day is ideal for all indoor plants, but necessary for any greenery that requires bright light
2-6 hours of bright light per day is ideal for medium light plants
Less than 2 hours of bright light per day and you're in low light territory

If you moved any plants closer to the windows during winter, check to make sure they’re not getting extended periods of direct light that may cause sunburn.
