DREA IN CUMULUS

The Drea Shawl is one of our favorite ways to play with color while creating a stripe-tastically wearable accessory!

We've given this Loop classic a fun, summery update by combining the cool cotton colors of Cumulus + Cumulus Degradé, from Juniper Moon. The result is impossibly soft, light, and lofty - with no wool in sight!

Read on for some of our favorite color pairings to help inspire your Drea creativity!

Cumulus and Cumulus Degradé are a match made in summer knitting heaven but are also lovely for year-round wear!

Both yarns are cotton but unlike traditional, ropey cottons, these yarns are spun with a chainette construction to ensure they're soft on your hands while knitting and next-to-skin soft for wear. They also contain a touch of nylon for easy care. And because they're worsted weight, they knit up fast into fabrics that are surprisingly lightweight!

What's the difference between Cumulus and Cumulus Degradé? Standard Cumulus comes in soft, solid colors, while Cumulus Degradé is an ombre yarn, and depending on which way you work from the ball, its color slowly transitions in intensity. This color melting adds plenty of visual interest to your knits - and the yarn does all the work!

Drea will make an excellent travel companion as you wind your way through August. Its simple, garter triangle style makes it easy to pick up and put down while changing colors every two rows will keep you engaged.

This is a fun shawl to knit for yourself and a lovely gifting idea, especially for friends who may have wool sensitivities.

To knit your own summery Drea Shawl, you'll need:

ochre + poppy meadow
lapis lazuli + senna sandcastle
white lion, phoenix pearls
narwhale + cedar bells
toucan bay + cedar bells

cornflower + jasmine chaha
