STOCKHOLM SLIPOVER

Lightweight layering pieces are so practical this time of year! Crisp mornings and evenings call for extra warmth that can be popped on and off during fluctuating daytime temps.

We particularly love PetiteKnit's Stockholm Slipover and knit our sample companion style, using 1 strand of our Loop Sprig held together with 1 strand of Loop Posy for lightweight layering that's equal parts soft and fluffy!

Like all PetiteKnit patterns, this vest is an easy-wearing wardrobe staple with clean, classic lines with subtle detailing that creates a beautiful, flattering, tailored effect.

Loop Sprig is our very own superwash merino, fingering weight yarn, and it gives the vest body and structure. Laceweight silk/mohair Loop Posy provides a dreamy sheen and kitten-soft halo. ⁠

The beauty of using these two yarns in a companion knit format is that when held together, they equate to a satisfying DK weight gauge that knits up a little more quickly than standard fingering and laceweight fabrics!

Our Loop yarns are tonally dyed in our Philadelphia studio in a rainbow of coordinating sister colorways for optimum match-ability. But, of course, you could mix it up and marl two different colors together for a custom look!⁠

The Stockholm Slipover vest is knit top-down, and you'll pick up your stitches to work the ribbing that neatly trims the neckband and armholes.

When Laura knit this sample, she finished with the recommended Italian bind-off, which yields a beautiful result but does take a little extra effort. That said, don't feel bad if you decide just to cast off the old-fashioned way!
