CALLA PONCHO IN LOOP TENDRIL

Spring is right around the corner, meaning it's time to start thinking about knitting transitional pieces to wear during days that can flip from warm to cool at a moment's notice!

We love light layers in spring and fall because they keep you cozy without feeling overheated. You can't go wrong with a classic poncho, and our go-to fave is Calla from designer Annie Baker!

Knit in dreamy Loop Tendril; this modern and lightweight design has a cozy, rolled cowl neck and flattering bias drape. It's an ideal popover for quick trips to the store or even in chilly offices!

Our friend, Cathy, inspired us to cast on for our Calla sample when she showed us her very own Calla poncho. Isn't it stunning?! Effortlessly stylish!

Tendril is part of our Loop collection of tonal, hand-dyed yarns in a versatile palette of lights, brights, and neutrals.This DK-weight yarn combines merino and silk to create a yarn with incredible softness and sheen. No matter what you knit with Tendril, you'll create a vibrant, casual luxury to enjoy daily!

Calla is knit from the top down and allows you to include or omit the cowl neck (we included it!). Its increases are placed on one side to create its asymmetrical shape.

We used 4 total skeins of Tendril, using the fourth skein for the border. Although this pattern calls for more yarn, we liked the length because it hits at a flattering point on the hips. If you'd like yours to be longer or have a larger opening at the bottom, do purchase an extra skein.

To knit Calla, you'll need:

4 (or more) skeins of Loop Tendril (we used Admiral)
US 6 24" circular needle
US 6 40" circular needle
