CLAPO-KTUS IN LOOP LINDEN

This time of year, it's always a good idea to have a light shawl on hand for those times when the weather takes an unexpectedly cool turn - bonus points if that shawl is also fun to knit!

Today we're shining a spotlight on Clapto-ktus, an oddly named shawl that's a breeze to knit in our very own Loop Linden and is sure to become your next favorite project!

If you've been knitting for a while, you'll probably remember the Clapotis craze of 2004, followed by the Baktus shawl in 2008. As its name implies, this pattern combines them both into a free pattern that's a perfect 1-skein wonder!

Clapo-ktus is a triangle-shaped shawl that begins with 6 stitches and builds its shape by increasing and decreasing stitches. When you're done knitting, you'll deliberately unravel laddered rows of stitches between each stockinette column - and believe us; it's the most fun you'll ever have with unraveled stitches!

This pattern is also easily memorizable, making this shawl a great, packable project to keep on hand for knitting away idle time on car trips or while you're vacationing!

Our Loop Linden is a sumptuous fingering weight blend of buttery soft superwash merino, cashmere, and nylon that's smooth and plush and knits up with the perfect amount of drape. It's a special yarn you'll enjoy snuggling close to your skin!

We dye Linden in-house in a beautiful palette of 26 semi-solid shades. Linden's fiber blend takes the dye like a dream, giving knitted fabrics a dreamy, watercolor-like quality that's never flat but fluidly tonal. It's lovely for solid and lacey shawls and scarves, as well as for fine-gauge sweaters and extra-special socks.

1 skein of Loop Linden - we used mango
US 6 24" circular needles

Linden is an especially sweet choice for baby garments. Not only is it baby soft, but it's also easy to care for. Handwash or machine wash your Linden knits on cold, then lay them flat to dry.
