BICHES + BÛCHES CARAMEL SWEATER

Biches + Bûches yarns are back in stock, so today, we're bringing you a fresh-off-the-needles sample that's making us weak in the knees: the timeless Caramel Sweater by PetiteKnit, is a classic pullover that will never go out of style!

To knit this sweater, Laura carried one strand of Biches + Bûches* Le Petit Lambswool with one strand of Le Petit Silk Mohair, both in Dark Blue Green colorway. She says the resulting fabric is incredibly stunningly soft and gossamer light. The combination delivers a plush halo with a satisfyingly heathered depth of color.

Read on for more details about the sweater and the yarns!

We're always on the lookout for the perfect, everyday sweater - a "Goldilocks" design that's neither too dressy or too plain. A sweater that's both flattering and comfortable to wear. And it's got to be something that will look just as good with sneakers and jeans as it will with a skirt and boots. The Caramel Sweater ticks all of those boxes!

Created by a trio of passionate Scandanavian fiber artists living in France, Biches + Bûches yarns are truly delightful!

Le Petit Lambswool is a fingering weight, pure lambswool yarn made from the first baby soft shearing of young sheep. It's a sublimely unique blend that somehow manages to embody all of our favorite qualities of rustic wool but with an unbelievably soft hand. It's great for sweaters and accessories alike and is an excellent option for colorwork knitting.

Le Petit Silk Mohair is a decadent, laceweight blend of silk and mohair spun in Italy. It can be used alone to create fine laceweight accessories or can be carry-along companion yarn used to imbue a subtle halo to shawls, hats, scarves, and, of course, sweaters!

The Caramel Sweater is very straightforward and knits all in one piece from the top down. The high, ribbed turtleneck transitions to a raglan yoke that incorporates a little short row shaping to help form the back of the neck. This sweater requires no finishing other than weaving in your ends!
