Loop staffer Cindy always finds a project she loves, knits multiple versions in different yarns, then stows them away for holiday and birthday gifts. Her end-of-summer project was making these beautiful, A Time to Reap mitts using 1 skein of our fingering weight Loop Sprig!

Fingering weight mitts are a fantastic accessory to have on hand when temperatures take a sudden, seasonal dip. They'll keep your hands and wrists warm but leave your fingers free for scrolling on your phone, using your keys, and keeping a toasty grip on your steering wheel!

To knit a pair of A Time to Reap mitts, you'll need:

1 skein Loop Sprig, Fiberstory Fave Sock, OR Fibre Co. Amble
A set of US 1 + US 3 Double Pointed Needles (DPNs)

Sprig is our soft, squeezable, 100% superwash merino. Its smooth twist has satisfyingly crisp stitch definition and knits up into next-to-skin soft fabric. We hand dye Loop Sprig right here in Philadelphia in a curated palette of vibrant, semi-solid shades that are perfect on their own or when in combination with your favorite variegated yarns.
