CHAMPAGNE CARDIGAN

You worked hard to finish your holiday knitting and we are so impressed at all the gorgeous gifts you knit this season! Now that you've made sure all your loved ones are nice and toasty, it's time to cast on for a special project that's just for you!

We love to celebrate the New Year with a new cast on and can't think of a more apropos project than a stunning Champagne Cardigan from PetiteKnit!

Let's pop a cork and ring in the New Knit Year together!

We are very into Petiteknit patterns around here! With the Champagne Cardigan, she takes a classic raglan and elevates it with gorgeous fabric, relaxed ease, and details like deeply ribbed cuffs and trim + double-knitted button plackets.

It's one of those pieces that looks as good dressed up with a blouse and pencil skirt for the office as it does casually dressed down with a t-shirt and jeans for a weekend trip to the farmer's market!

For our sample (which you can see in person at Loop West!), we paired one strand of Sandnes Garn Double Sunday with a strand of Rowan Kidsilk Haze. The result is a warm yet light fabric with a plush, effervescent halo!

To knit the Champagne Cardigan, you'll need:

11-15 balls of Double Sunday (we used Ballet Shoes)
5-8 balls of Kidsilk Haze (we used Nectar)
US 7 16" + 40" circular needles
US 2.5 40" circular needles
US 7 DPNs
4 buttons - we used vintage Moving Mud handmade glass buttons from our stash. You can find Moving Mud here.
