Westknits Painting Chevrons Kits in Loop Linden!

Loop Staffer Bonnie just finished knitting this incredible Painting Chevrons shawl by Stephen West using Loop Linden, and it's beyond stunning!

Every pattern from Westknits is an exciting adventure, and knitting with our cashmere blend Linden is a treat. We have assembled our favorite hand-dyed color combinations into three kits to make it easier for you to cast on ASAP!

Painting Chevrons is a rectangular shawl that encourages you to get creative with color, stacking chevron-shaped wedges on top of one another for maximum effect.

Each chevron is framed with the main color and worked using an easy slip stitch method. Simple increasing and decreasing form the points in each V-shaped chevron. 

And because the pattern alternates rows of garter and stockinette, the knitting is engaging but not too taxing. Adding each row of color is highly addictive!

For our shawl, we selected a cheerful trio of colors + a light main color in Loop Linden to frame each bolder color, graduating them in an organized and structured way. 

For a moodier, more dramatic color story, opt for our charcoal kit with its deep background color allowing the brights to pop!

Green is the season's color, and this is our verdant version! The evergreen kit combines our favorite forest hues for an on-trend fall color story!

This shawl can easily be worn as a wrap or a generously sized scarf and will keep you cozy year-round with a light layer of warmth, thanks to Linden's sumptuous cashmere content!

• US 5 24" circular needle
• Painting Chevrons pattern

If you'd like to create your own color story, you'll need:

• 2 skeins of Loop Linden for the main color
• 3 skeins of Loop Linden for the contrast colors 
• US 5 24" circular needle
• Painting Chevrons pattern
