Calla Poncho in Loop Tendril!

Our customer Cathy knit herself a gorgeous Calla in our Loop Tendril, and the instant we saw how amazing she looked, we knew we had to knit one for the shop!

Calla is a dreamy poncho designed by Annie Baker. It's a modern, stylish piece with a cozy cowl neck and a flattering bias drape, made even more lovely thanks to Tendril's luscious silk content!

Calla packs a big dose of effortless style that will elevate any outfit! 

Picture yourself on a crisp day picking apples or perusing a yarn festival. Calla is a light layering piece that will keep you cozy without feeling overheated, and your hands will be free to carry all of your autumn treasures!

Tendril is part of our Loop collection of tonal, hand-dyed yarns in a versatile palette of lights, brights, and neutrals. 

Tendril is a DK-weight yarn that combines merino and silk to create a yarn with incredible softness and sheen. No matter what you knit with Tendril, you'll create a vibrant, casual luxury to enjoy daily! 

Calla is knit from the top down and allows you to include or omit the cowl neck (we opted in!). Its increases are placed on one side to create its asymmetrical shape.

We used 4 total skeins of Tendril, using the fourth skein for the border. Although this pattern calls for more yarn, we liked the length because it hits at a flattering point on the hips. If you'd like yours to be longer or have a larger opening at the bottom, do purchase an extra skein.

To knit Calla, you'll need:

• 4 (or more) skeins of Loop Tendril (we used Admiral)
• US 6 24" circular needle
• US 6 40" circular needle
• Calla pattern

The gathering season is right around the corner, and we love the idea of setting out a puzzle for friends and family to piece during holiday celebrations!
