Wool, wonderful wool!

INTRODUCING CAMPER!

Wool lovers, get your needles ready! Today we're bringing you a brand new yarn from Kelbourne Woolens: join us in welcoming Camper to Loop in Center City and our online shop!

Camper is a classic, strong and versatile fingering weight yarn that's unfussy and 100% wool -- but still deliciously soft! (Fun fact: it's the lighter, sister yarn to Kelbourne Woolens' beloved DK weight Scout!)

Why are we talking about wool as temps begin to climb? Believe it or not, finer weight wool is a great to knit with and wear in warmer weather, thanks to its amazing thermoregulating properties! Wool fibers naturally wick away heat and moisture when it's hot, and insulate when it's cold -- it's how sheep stay perfectly comfy year-round!

Available in 200 yard skeins, Camper knits up beautifully on its own and its wide-ranging palette of heathered colors truly shine in colorwork knitting projects. Read on for some dazzling Camper project ideas!

THE CAMPER COLLECTION

If you love colorwork and fine, wooly yarn as much as we do, you're going to fall head over heels for the Camper Collection, which celebrates vintage techniques, classic knits and modern style.

You can browse the whole Camper Collection here: Ravelry / Kelbourne Woolens website

Let's dive into the collection together!

We've fallen hard for Cumberland Falls, a classic colorwork cardi with an updated bright color scheme! This pattern calls for 4-8 skeins of a main color + about 1 skein each of 10 contrasting colors. Let us know if you need assistance choosing your garment size or determining how much yarn you'll need. Our staffers are happy to help!
