This is a unique yarn for all-season wear, delivering a stunningly soft hand and a lovely sheen. Softyak's wonderful chainette construction blends cotton + yak and a touch of nylon, creating a yarn that's durable, surprisingly light, and buttery soft next to the skin. According to Rowan, Softyak's fiber composition is also static resistant and anti-microbial, helping your knits stay fresher for longer.
We're carrying Softyak DK in an expansive color palette ranging from muted tones to rich jewel shades. And, each hue is subtly heathered thanks to the naturally darker nature of the yak fiber. Use one color alone, or pick multiple colors for a special colorwork project!
Caring for garments made using Softyak DK couldn't be easier: machine wash on cold, then lay flat to dry!

Dive into the world of sock knitting and find out why there are no socks like handknit socks! You'll learn all the basics of sock knitting, including how to cast on to double-pointed needles, work short rows, pick up stitches, and Kitchener Stitch. All materials are included in the cost of this class, and this class is geared toward graduates of Knit 2 or knitters who’ve made a hat in the round.
