Treat yourself to cozy winter knitting in cashmere! Our new Garter Stripe Shawl Kit invites you to play with color in bold, graphic stripes of our very own Loop Petal!

Petal is our irresistibly plush, worsted-weight blend of merino, cashmere, and nylon.

Petal's cashmere and merino content make this yarn beyond next-to-skin soft, while a touch of nylon provides durability and also makes it washable.

Like each yarn in our Loop collection, we hand-dye Petal in-house in 16 lively, tonal shades. Choose from tried and true neutrals, classic hues, and candy-colored pastels - there's something for everyone!

The Garter Stripe Shawl is knit from the top down and features bold swathes of colorful stripes.

It begins with a garter tab cast on. If you've never tried the garter tab cast-on, you're in for a treat! This type of cast-on is deceptively simple and practically magical - it quite literally disappears into your shawl as you knit!

From there, you'll begin the simple garter stitch pattern while working the striping sequence at the same time. Easy peasy!

We used our slate colorway for the main color and Cypress and Charcoal for the contrast; these are the colorways you'll find on our kit.

We also love these combinations with slate and charcoal shown with pollen and orchid!

1 Garter Stripe Shawl Kit OR 2 skeins of Loop Petal in a main color + 1 skein each in 2 contrasting colors
US 9 40" circular needles
