THE TRAVELER COWL IN ENTROPY DK

Laura just finished knitting Andrea Mowry's new Traveler Cowl in Feederbrook Farms Entropy DK!

She says this was a relaxing knit, and she had so much fun seeing Entropy DK's fantastic barber-pole colorways playing across the fabric!

Entropy DK is a 2-ply, DK-weight, BFL yarn. BFL stands for Bluefaced Leicester, a breed of sheep that yields yarn with a squishy, next-to-skin softness that's right up there with Merino! BFL yarn does not pill, thanks to its long staple length and Entropy DK delivers on all fronts of softness, loft, and durability!

Each skein of Entropy DK is named for the randomness of colors that result from its colorful single strands that are plied together. As you knit, the colors gradually shift and stripe.

Please note that skeins in each colorway are similar but not identical and will result in knits with a charming color quality typical of handspun yarn.

The Traveler Cowl is a bandana-style cowl that stays put for fuss-free wear. It alternates bands of stockinette and reverse stockinette furrows worked flat on the bias.

The cowl has a clever construction shaped with increases and decreases and clean, i-cord edges. When you've cast off your last stitch, the cowl is folded and finished with a seam to create the cowl shape. Andrea has also included a video tutorial to help you work the seam for optimum effect.
