Greetings from L.A., where, as I type this, I’m overlooking the Hollywood Hills from the 14th floor of the Sunset Hotel. I’m in town to celebrate the launch of Dior’s new Miss Dior Parfum scent created by Francis Kurkdjian. In addition to immersing myself in the new floral, fruity, and woody juice at their pop-up activation (where I met Madelaine Petsch, who looked right at home), I got to see their new skin-care ambassador, Sarah Akram, for a jet-lagged complexion-reviving facial. I’m excited to share the new skin-firming technology she’s obsessed with and more, below!

Q: What was your favorite beauty look from fashion month?

A: It’s like choosing your favorite child! No, but seriously, I think I can only narrow it down to the runway look I’m obsessing over at this very moment; and that’s the deep red lips at Anna Sui. Crafted by none other than Pat McGrath, who was inspired by British literary greats like Virginia Woolf and the ’30s club scene in London (how’s that for a vibe?), she used Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance lipstick in Guinevere. I’ve been wearing it for the past few weeks and plan on stockpiling it for the fall as the perfect moody red.

When I visited Dior Beauty’s skin-care ambassador, Sarah Akram, for a facial, she focused on rebalancing, repairing, and restoring my skin’s barrier and pH levels after a bout of travel and lack of sleep. Her secret weapon?
