ROWAN FELTED TWEED COLOUR

Felted Tweed fans, get ready! Rowan has added a brand new, slow-changing gradient yarn to its much loved Felted Tweed line: Felted Tweed Colour!

DK weight FTC has all of the beloved properties of original Felted Tweed - it's soft, lightweight, slightly heathered, and flecked with color - but in melty, gradual gradients that meander from one color to the next in the same color family.

Natural landscapes inspired the Rowan team to create these captivating colorways. From subtle moorland russets and browns to vibrant, sunset pinks and fresh, grassy greens, each tweedy hue combines lightly felted wool with alpaca and viscose for a yarn that knits up into beautiful garments and accessories.

We love the idea of pairing FTC with a solid Felted Tweed for a colorwork project to get a fair isle effect without actually having to fair isle!

FTC PROJECTS

The graduated stripes of Corinthian (above) by Martin Storey alternates 3 shades of FTC to create a gorgeously gradient wrap.

To knit Corinthian, you'll need:

4 balls of FTC in color A (shown in Chartreuse)
3 balls of FTC in color B (shown in Chestnut)
2 balls of FTC in color C (shown in Amethyst)
US 6 24" circular needles
Corinthian pattern

Ingleton by Lisa Richardson blends 3 colors of FTC to create a supersized, striped scarf that measures 7"x106" long.

To knit Ingleton, you'll need:

3 balls of FTC in color A (shown in Ripe)
3 balls of FTC in color B (shown in Chestnut)
3 balls of FTC in color C (shown in Succulent)
US 10 needles

Mist by Kim Hargreaves is a textural delight with an allover moss stitch in just one shade of FTC. This cardigan features a single button to fasten the collar combined with unique construction to create a stylishly modern, asymmetrical shape.

To knit Mist, you'll need:
