Summer is winding down, but there's still time for easy, breezy summer shawl knitting!

Garter stitch was made for relaxing. These three shawls feature variations on gorgeous garter! They're perfect projects to knit on over Labor Day weekend, whether you're headed down the shore or planning a stay-cation!

DREA IN CUMULUS

Cumulus Degradé is back in stock, just in time to cast on a long weekend, Drea Shawl!

We've given this Loop classic a fun, summery update by combining the cool cotton colors of Cumulus + Cumulus Degradé from Juniper Moon. The result is impossibly soft, light, and lofty - with no wool in sight and great for year-round wear!

To knit a Drea Shawl, you'll need:

1 skein of Cumulus + 1 of Cumulus Degradé (we used Cornflower + Jasmine Chacha)
US 8 32" circular needles

GARTER TRIANGLE IN KAKIGORI

Our Garter Triangle Shawl is tailor-made to let Noro Kakigori's colorful tweedy flecks take center stage!

Just 1 ball of Kakigori is needed for this cozy shawl, and it's some of the easiest, most relaxing knitting you'll ever have on your needles! Its finished dimensions are 80" wide and 26" deep, so there's plenty of fabric to pull over your shoulders or drape around your neck! This pattern is free in our Journal!

MAIDA IN MALABRIGO LACE

Our Maida Wrap in Malabrigo Lace is a meditating knit with plenty of relaxing garter stitch and a unique trapezoidal shape.

Its fine fabric is easy to compress into a scarf or open up for a full wrap. It's also one of those wonderfully lightweight knits that you'll be glad to have on hand for yourself or as a thoughtful (and well-priced!) gift.

Maida is a great knit for showcasing the incredible, hand-dyed colors of Malabrigo Lace. Choose tonal colors for a semi-solid wash of color or opt for bold variegated colorways for a unique color statement!
