We are so pleased to welcome Luma back to Loop for spring!

Luma comes to us from the Fibre Co., and it knits up into one of our favorite 3-season fabrics for wearing when the weather can go from chilly to warm in the span of a day.

Read on for all the details plus pattern ideas courtesy of the upcoming Luma Trunk show currently at Loop!

Luma is a unique, DK-weight blend of merino, organic cotton, linen, and silk. Thanks to its linen content, it has all the buttery softness you'd expect from a merino/cotton/silk blend but with the bonus of an easy-wearing drape.

The folks at Fibre Co. say Luma was inspired by the grassland climate, where a multi-layered approach to clothing is a way of life. True to form, Luma knits up into fabrics that deliver a light layer of warmth but with an airiness that's also comfortable in warmer temperatures.

GLYKOS

This asymmetric triangle shawl features a honeycomb cable that gradually transitions into a larger stitch as the shawl expands.

You'll need:

HERITAGE COAST

Knitted from the bottom up, this easy-to-wear, open-front cardi is made for lightweight layering and features a radiating, twisted rib back panel.

You'll need:

8-14 skeins of Luma
US 3 + 4 32" circular needle
US 3 + 4 16" circular needles for sleeves
Heritage Coast pattern

BASSENFELL

This cozy asymmetrical garter stitch shawl has three columns of textured cluster stitches and is worked tip to tip with an i-cord edging.

You'll need:

CARROUSEL DE PARIS

This feminine, capped-sleeved lace top may look like a pullover but it's actually a cardigan that fastens with knitted fabric-covered buttons in the back. Choose to add a contrasting stripe or knit it in one solid color.

You'll need:

6-7 skeins of Luma for main color
1 skein of Luma for contrast color
US 6 32" circular needle
